National Scavenger Hunt Day Adventure

In the words of Jimmy Buffett, “Searching is half the fun: life is much more manageable when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party.”

 

So, what better way to celebrate life and National Scavenger Hunt Day (on May 24th) than with a super fun scavenger hunt?

We’ve put together an exciting hunt that you can do with the whole family from the comfort of your car!

  1. This white house is the epitome of Victorian design and lifestyle. Completed in 1883, this house will take you on a trip back in time when you see it.
  2. This historic Catholic church was completed in 1838, destroyed by a tornado in 1850 and rebuilt in the 1970s – 1990s. It is home to stunning Italian Renaissance architecture.
  3. Take a drive out in the country and find this rustic covered bridge. It’s the oldest out of only four remaining covered bridges in Missouri.
  4. Construction on this historic site began in 1861 and grew from conflict along the Missouri and Kansas border.
  5. This landmark commemorates the visit made by Lewis and Clark on their journey towards the west. It is a recreation of Louis Lorimer’s trading post.
