Frightful Fun: Halloween in Cape Girardeau

Cape Girardeau goes all in for Halloween, and we have the events to prove it. Every year, October is filled with activities for fans of a good fright. Don’t let the month slip by without checking out each one.

Haunted Hall of Horror

Bring the whole family out to the Haunted Hall of Horror: a lengthy maze with scares around every corner. The Cape Girardeau Parks & Recreation Department transform the interior of the A.C. Brase Arena building into an adventure through creepy clowns, a 3D freak show, an asylum and more. Keep an eye on any dolls you spot – they’ve been known to get up and walk around! All ages are invited, but kids 12 and under must be with an adult.

The Black Forest Haunted Ghost Town

Make your way deep into the woods at night to discover what waits within. The Black Forest Haunted Ghost Town resides on the edge of Cape Girardeau county, where creatures lurk in the shadows of nearby trees. A silent grim reaper will guide you through the structures that make up this ghost town, but narrow halls and sharp turns may cause you to lose sight of him. Do not fear: Someone (or something) will help you get back on track and ensure you explore all the town has to offer: Reaper’s Theater, Curse of the Swamp Witch, Dead End Maze and more! This haunt is not for the faint of heart. Bring cash; the woods don’t have Wi-Fi for processing card payments.

Cape Fear Con

From the people who brought you Cape Comic Con comes a dreaded cousin, Cape Fear Con. Dedicated to all things that go bump in the night, this new event will be a favorite for any horror-flick fan. There’ll be plenty of photo opportunities, terrifying costumes and movie screenings. Plus, several vendors will be on-site with specially themed merchandise. Get your tickets for October 18-19, 2019!
