Cape’s Murals are one just aspect of Cape Girardeau’s vibrant arts community. While the fall afternoons bring warm temperatures, enjoy a stroll to appreciate the work and colorful depictions of these larger-than-life murals. There’s the Wall of Fame along the Mississippi River Wall featuring 47 famous Missourians (think President Harry S. Truman and Jesse James). Or, admire the tile mural on the exterior of the Southeast Missourian newspaper building, which took10 years to develop and two years to complete.
