Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Here are the events happening in Cape Girardeau over the next few days:

Put on your cowboy boots and dance on over to the 10th Annual Western Swing Showcase Friday and Saturday.

Coles Whalen will perform at Tunes at Twilight tonight at 7. Her bluesy folk music has opened for Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Rufus Wainwright, Paula Cole and Kellie Pickler.

There are all kinds of entertainment and happenings throughout the weekend at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau!

Fresh produce, arts and crafts, baked goods and community spirit galore will be at the Cape Riverfront Market on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. – noon.

Watch history come to life at Memorial Day at Fort D, a free living history encampment at Cape Girardeau’s only remaining Civil War Fort Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Chief Paul White Eagle will give a presentation at the Cape River Heritage Museum on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Cape Splash is opening for the season this weekend on Saturday! They are open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. with reduced hours taking effect August 13th. Admission is $5 for ages 13 and under, $6 for ages 14 and older, $5 for those over 60 and under 1 year of age is free.
