Around Town Artwalk and First Friday with the Arts is making a splash in April with the grand opening of the Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition on Friday; stop by the opening reception at 6 p.m. to meet with the artists and see the sculptures freshly installed.
The Southeast Redhawks Track & Field team competes at home at the Joey Haines Track & Field Invitational on Friday and Saturday, and Southeast Baseball plays SIUE at Capaha Field Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Celebrate all things froggy at Froggy Friday at the Nature Center with games, activities, crafts, displays and frog call presentations and hikes. Presentations start at 5 p.m. and are followed by the frog call hike, with the last presentation and hike at 8 p.m.
Messy Morning is at the Show Me Center on Saturday and includes over 50 vendors that each offer a different activity for kids, giving parents dozens of ideas of how they can contribute to their child’s development through play.
The River City Players Community Theatre present the comedy “Quiet on the Set” throughout the weekend.
There are fun events happening all weekend long at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau. That 80’s Band performs Friday night at The Lone Wolf, and the Barnet Gurley Thing takes The Lone Wolf stage Saturday night. Kick back on the deck at Keller’s Saturday afternoon for music by Saxy Jazz, the best river views in town, cheese and fruit sampling and a wine tasting. On Sunday afternoon the patio at Farraddays will feature music by Grayson Woods, buckets of wings and a Bloody Mary bar.
