Tunes at Twilight’s Fall 2016 Season

Tunes at Twilight is back for their Fall 2016 season, and they have a memorable line up ready to take the stage at the Common Pleas Courthouse Gazebo starting Friday, August 12th at 6:30 p.m.  If you’re planning a trip to Cape Girardeau, this free, award-winning outdoor concert series is a great series to plan your trip around!  Tunes at Twilight runs for 6 weeks in the Fall on Friday evenings beginning August 12 and concluding September 16; here’s the full scoop on performers to help you plan your visit!

August 12:  Doug Rees gets the Fall season off to a folksy, bluesy start singing songs he’s written about real life and real people; you might just recognize yourself in his down-to-earth, upbeat music.

August 19:  Eli Cook took up the guitar as a teenager in the Blue Ridge foothills of Virginia. Cook performed in churches and late-night gospel revivals with only his acoustic and deep baritone voice, while playing every hole-in-the-wall bar that could handle his electric power trio. Cook has forged a fresh sound, alive with the southern blues tradition.

August 26:  David G. Smith is an Iowa singer songwriter with a laid back sound and lyrics that ring true. His heartfelt acoustic songs reflects his “everyman” vibe.

September 2:  Evan Webb & Adam Hellman are part of a five-piece, hard-driving, country band based right here out of our river city.   They bring the voice of the Heartland to the stage with country & western, red dirt, and American rock & roll.

September 9:  Michael Reno Harrell is a beloved favorite of Tunes at Twilight, and hails from the Southern Appalachian Mountains.  His time on the gazebo stage will showcase his storytelling and songwriting talents.

September 16:  Kira Small closes out the 2016 Tunes at Twilight season.  She brings and earthy elegance to the stage with a style that brings together gospel, soul, country, R&B, and jazz.

Bring your lawn chair, a frosty beverage and some snacks and settle in for a Fall Tunes at Twilight line up you won’t want to miss!  Share the fun – tag your pictures with #visitcape.
