Taste of Fall in Cape Girardeau

The calendar says Fall has arrived, and while we wait for the weather to catch up, you can enjoy a taste of autumn in Cape Girardeau!

Remix Coffee truck’s traveling Fall menu includes the ubiquitous Pumpkin Spice plus a Butter Pecan latte (yum!) and hot apple cider for the non-coffee folks in your life.

Dynamite‘s Fall menu returns with their Maple Leaf Latte and the Pumpkin Carver – hot chocolate with a touch of pumpkin that can also be made as a latte!

New to Cape’s restaurant scene, Sta is a cafe/coffee shop with options that your gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian friends will love.  Their homemade pumpkin spice syrup (they started with an actual pumpkin!) will jazz up your drink, and their caramel pecan roll and caramel corn are convenient hand-held treats to bring along to a crackling bonfire.

With an emphasis on natural and organic ingredients, Faithfully Fed has seasonal offerings such as an Autumn salad with local apples and made-from-scratch pumpkin dressing and pumpkin french toast bread pudding.  See what they’re cooking up today – their menu is always changing to keep pace with local produce.

There’s a world of pumpkiny delights waiting for you at My Daddy’s Cheesecake.  Of course you’ll find pumpkin cheesecake, but you can also indulge in pumpkin poke cake, pumpkin muffins and my favorite, pumpkin ooey gooey butter cake.

As far as cupcakes in Cape Girardeau go, look no further than Social’s Cafe & Coffeehouse – their candy corn cupcake brings a classic Halloween candy to life.
