Do you love a good scare or want to get in on the ghostly legends of Cape Girardeau? Here’s a list of where to find some of the best seriously scary haunts in Cape Girardeau this October!

Haunted Downtown Walking Tours return for ghostly legends and “true” stories of Cape Girardeau. A costumed guide will guide you to some of Cape Girardeau’s most notable historic areas and reveal some haunting secrets every Thursday evening in October, and the days leading up to Halloween. 

For a chilling thrill, The Retribution is the largest and most terrifying haunted warehouse in southeast Missouri. The 30 minute chaotic maze will have visitors encounter their true fears, including chainsaw maniacs, demonic clowns, and hungry zombies.  The Retribution is open on Fridays and Saturdays throughout October.   

Black Forest Haunted Ghost Town is celebrating it’s 20th year of screams in Cape Girardeau. Spooky surprises are around every corner with three areas of fright in haunted rooms, pitch-black hallways, and an outdoor maze to find your way through on Fridays and Saturdays in October.

Watch out for a zombie horde at Night of the Living Dead! The two-night showing will be at the Capaha Park band shell on October 17 and 18.

The Haunted Hall of Horror will be taking over the A.C. Brase Arena Building the last two weekends in October and the week of Halloween.The truly terrifying time spent in the Haunted Hall will test the bravery of anyone that dares to step through its doors.

The Ghouls and Goblins Putt Putt Tournament is a glow in the dark twist on the classic 18-hole game at Arena Golf on October 25. Participants can play individually or in teams of two for a chance to win prizes, and everyone is encouraged to dress in costumes.
