Spring has arrived, and with it Tunes at Twilight’s 2015 season! Here’s a look ahead at the musicians lined up for this free outdoor concert series on Friday evenings at the Common Pleas Courthouse Gazebo lawn.
May 15th: Kraig Kenning is a bluesy roots rock American fingerstyling wonder often compared to Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan.
May 22nd: Wil Maring and Robert Bowlin have a recipe described as country mixed with folk and a touch of bluegrass, Roberts soothing guitar matched with Wil’s airy voice will send good vibes to all who listen.
May 29th: Emily and Al Cantrell are siblings who have been performing their original folk and bluegrass music for 30 years. Al is a remarkable fiddle player who has studied the Irish fiddle in Europe, and Emily writes music and has strong swing style rhythm guitar skills.
June 5th: Nashville couple Sabrina & Tony Nashville is an updated folk rock group. Sabrina brings the guitar, songwriting and a fiery voice and Tony is a prolific bass player.
June 12th: Greg and Thom – The Moore Brothers – harmonize their soft soothing voices as they perform outstanding tunes.
June 19th: Kira Small is a one-of-a-kind vocalist based in Nashville who names Bonnie Raitt, Jill Scott, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Stevie Wonder and Norah Jones as influences on her R&B/soul songs that she writes.
August 14th: Jack Williams has 50 years of stage experience under his belt, and the stories behind his songs and his guitar skills are a great kick off to Tunes’ Fall line up.
August 21st: Jimmy Davis‘ influences span from the Beatles and the Eagles to Johnny Cash.
August 28th: The Bottle Rocket Cabaret’s music spans an eclectic collection of backgrounds.
September 4th: The Babbas are Annie Sellick who brings her jazzy voice to the table that blends with her husband Pat Bergeson’s masterful guitar and harmonic skills.
September 11th: Chad Elliott brings a mix of Americana, roots and country music. There is weight in his voice and his fingertips as he plays his guitar, and has shared a stage Eric Church, Lonestar, the Counting Crows and Brantley Gilbert.
September 18th: Rod Picott closes out Tunes at Twilight’s 2015 season with a powerful voice and a classic Americana style of music.
