Cape’s Live Music Scene

Live music in Cape! Cape has stepped up its game when it comes to opportunities for watching and listening to the area’s talented musicians do what they love. In fact, every weekend, you can find an array of music filtering out of the doors of local establishments and onto the streets of Cape.

Inside Ebb and Flow Fermentations in downtown Cape is an electric and cozy setting to relax with carefully curated seasonal beers and bites while enjoying some tunes. Outside, the patio is a delightful outdoor venue for live background music while visiting. For a larger, more traditional bar setting, head across the street to The Library where you can play darts, talk with friends and enjoy yard games while listening to the bands that add The Library to their schedule.

Music with a view, please! There are very few places to take in panoramic sights of the Mississippi River in Cape, much less while listening to music. However, Century Casino definitely has the best public viewing area on the outdoor deck at Beacon 53, on the top level of the Century Casino, located near the 53rd beacon marker of the Mississippi River.  They have music every weekend so be sure to check their schedule!

Cape has a music festival? Yes! And people travel for hundreds of miles to come to Cape and enjoy our town. Save the date for the 4th annual Shipyard Musical Festival on September 23-24 to “celebrate the magic of food and cheer and song.” The festival features national touring acts and a wide variety of food and drinks. This is a family event, so bring the kids for some culture!

If you’re looking for additional eateries during your time downtown, remember to visit the VisitCape Dining Guide for ideas on where to go!
