Spring is upon us and so is #EarthDay. What better way to celebrate this day than going outside! We have put together a list of Cape day-trip destinations to help you celebrate.

Trail of Tears State Park
Head to Trail of Tears to enjoy some hiking and fresh air. This state park has 3,415 acres of green scenery with beautiful views. You can find several hiking trails, picnic shelters, fishing spots and playgrounds. To dive into the history of the park, stop by the visitor center.

Lazy L Safari Park
Are you looking to go on a unique walk-thru zoo experience? Head over to the Lazy L Safari Park to visit some furry (and not so furry) friends! The park is home to over 50 different species including alligators, zebras and parakeets. When visiting, be sure to feed the animals and go gemstone mining. This is just one of the exciting kid activities Cape Girardeau has to offer.

Spend the day outside enjoying a glass of wine at Hunter Valley Winery. This winery has a dozen wines on hand and they are the oldest winery in Cape. It is located just off of State Highway V.
