7 Ways to Beat the Heat at Cape Splash Family Aquatic Center

Summertime in Southeast Missouri calls for long stretches of cool, refreshing water all laid out at your feet while you sip an icy drink in the shade, right? This is not a flimsy mirage, you can do all of that and more at Cape Splash here in Cape Girardeau! Here are seven ways you can show the summer weather who’s boss at this local water park:

1.  Flume slides – four of them! Soar down the 177 foot open flume slide from a 25 foot tower, or adventure down the 140 foot enclosed flume side. 64 and 78 foot flume slides are also found on top of an 11 foot tower.

2.  Different kinds of pools to explore. Wade right in the leisure pool with zero depth entry, or take a spin in the swirling vortex pool!

3.  23 colorful Funbrellas with comfy lounge chairs provide shady spots to take a break.

4.  Fun for the littlest of littles to those who are young at heart, and everyone in between. The watery playground and the spray pad are perfect spots for the younger ones, and there’s all kinds of other fun with the slides and pools for older kids.

5.  The 700 foot lazy river. Grab a tube and meander along the gently moving currents of the lazy river. It’s a vacation in itself!

6.  Family changing rooms make it easier to enjoy Cape Splash with the whole family.

7.  Entry prices and concessions are affordably priced, so you can have a day of fun at the waterpark without spending a fortune.

Another plus to Cape Splash?  This park isn’t too big, it isn’t too small….it’s just right.  There’s plenty to do but the park is nicely contained, too.

Cape Splash is open daily 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., and you can learn more here.
