Christmas cheer fills downtown Cape Girardeau this Friday, December 5 for the annual Downtown Open House from 5 – 9 p.m. Here are five ways to get into the Christmas spirit in historic downtown Cape Girardeau this Friday:
1. Christmas songs galore!
Many community groups will have caroling groups present throughout the evening adding a festive ambiance to the open house, such as the “Howl-iday” Carolers from Mississippi Mutts; they’re bringing their four-legged friends.
2. O Little Town of Bethlehem
First Presbyterian Church will feature a live nativity on their lawn.
3. SANTA?! I KNOW HIM!
Santa Clause himself will be on hand for free photographs with little ones!
4. A trip down memory lane
Free carriage rides will be offered from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., starting from the corner of Independence and Main.
5. Hot chocolate bar
For $2, customize your hot chocolate from Social’s selection of gourmet blends and fun add-ins. Sweet treats will be available too.
This is just a handful of highlights from tomorrow night’s event, there will be many more holiday happenings taking place. We’ll see you – with jingle bells on – Friday night the Downtown Open House!
