Add To My CalendarJoin us for the Fourth Annual Muddy River Marathon, May 4, 2024. Whether you’re a regular participant, or looking to join your first ever Run, you’ve come to the right place. Muddy River Marathon is an engaging and fun event, geared towards people of all ages and from all walks of life. The Muddy River Marathon offers three race formats – full marathon, half marathon and half marathon relay. Our 26.2 mile, 13.1 mile and half marathon relay courses wind through Cape Girardeau, Missouri. We believe that fitness equals happiness, and encourage our participants to challenge their bodies while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.\
The course highlights many landmarks in Cape Girardeau including the Bill Emerson Bridge, Common Pleas Courthouse, Dalhousie Golf Course, Old St. Vincent’s Church and more, as well as finishing along the Missouri Wall of Fame Mural. The course is relatively flat utilizing roadways and paved trails. We hope you will spend the evening in Cape and celebrate your accomplishment. Proceeds benefit local non-profits who work to improve the health and wellbeing of those living in the region. Thanks to our sponsors and participants, we have been able to give over $70,000 to local non-profit’s since the Muddy River Marathon’s inception. In our fourth year we plan to continue expanding the beneficiaries around Southeast Missouri.
