There is SO MUCH to do in Cape Girardeau this weekend!

Catch the last Tunes at Twilight before the break for the summer and pick up again on August 15th! Leslie Dysinger, who’s been compared to Janis Joplin with touches of Sheryl Crow, will perform tonight at 7 p.m.

Chubby Checker is performing this evening at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau, where you’ll find entertainment all weekend long.

Nunsense is running at the River Campus and has multiple show dates for you to choose from. Also at the River Campus on Saturday is the Summer Arts Festival, with performances, art and music happening from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.. It’s free and family friendly.

The Cape Riverfront Market will be bustling with the freshest goodies around Saturday morning from 8 a.m. – noon.

Little mermaids and pirates ages 8 and under can walk the plank and get their picture taken with Blackbeard and Ariel at Cape Splash’s Mermaids and Pirates Party, Saturday morning from 9 – 10:30 a.m.

Join the luau at Lazy L Safari Park to celebrate their 5th season – you can even get your picture taken with a parrot! Zoofest 2014 is from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Come to the dark side….they have Wookie Cookies at the Cape Public Library on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.! Star Wars games, crafts and snacks for ages 6 and up, plus photo ops with members of the Rebel Legion and 501st Legion.

Learn about the handwriting of psychopaths and serial killers with Dr. Tim Morgan, handwriting expert and forensic document examiner at the Cape Public Library on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Former Cardinals shortstop and member of Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame Ozzie Smith will be the guest speaker at the Semoball Awards Saturday night!
