Tips to Plan the BEST Bachelor(ette) Weekend!

Such an exciting time! Your friend gets engaged and you want to make the bachelor(ette) party a night (or weekend) to remember. We’ve got you covered! Remember to call ahead to the establishments below so they can prepare for your group! First up, a few general tips on lodging and transportation.

Stay:

Be sure to click to see VisitCape’s Hotel Guide for a listing of recommended lodging. The Courtyard by Marriott is located downtown close to Cape’s nightlife and within walking distance to most downtown establishments.

Do:

Let Seven’s Limo & Party Bus provide the ride to get the group where it needs to go safely and in style! Seven’s has limos for small groups, and two different sized party buses for groups up to 30, some of which even feature champagne sinks and colored mood lighting – and of course, Bluetooth for the tunes!

Now for the Bachelor Edition:

Eat:

Let’s start with the guys. Check out Dogwood Social House where you’ll find a large selection of beers on a beer wall along with billiards, giant TVs to watch sports, a cigar room, karaoke and axe throwing! Pizza sound good? Take the group to Rosati’s Pizza (they even have a room you can rent) for deep-dish pizza (and they also have a beer wall!) or downtown’s Minglewood Brewery for their famous “Pint and a Pie.”

If brunch is in order after all the fun, we recommend Mary Jane bourbon + smokehouse on Broadway for hearty smoked meats and sides that are sure to satisfy the groom and entire bachelor party.

Do:

The Teehouse Complex is Cape’s golf headquarters with a large driving range and now home to a Trackman indoor simulator allowing the group to pick a national course to play! But be sure to get on the schedule ahead of time as it books up! The Teehouse also has a bar and pizza now!

Cape is also home to Century Casino on the riverfront with slots and video poker, table games, poker room and often entertainment on the weekends – check their website for a schedule.

Downtown, Coin-Op Cantina is a unique craft beer and arcade bar for the 21+ crowd, with 24 beers on tap and over 60 more in cans and bottles. Take your shot at pinball, skee-ball or classic video games like Pac-Man. This is a great stop before or after dinner for some lighthearted laughs!

Bachelorette Edition:

Eat:

Now for the ladies! Cooking classes are a great way to interact and have lots of laughs as you make delicious homemade pasta and dessert at Gabriel’s Food and Wine in downtown Cape. Plus, you’ll have an amazing meal to eat in a private room afterward! Plus, wine and appetizers are served during class! This would be a great way to start a Saturday!

Or, a winery is always a good idea! Hunter Valley Winery is 10 minutes outside town, often has entertainment and beautiful sunsets. It’s a great place to spend a relaxing afternoon with friends!

For brunch, check out The Ground-A-Bout Marquette inside the Marquette tower where you can eat in the charming bistro or take it to the beautiful, historic lobby. The menu includes a wide variety of teas, coffees, smoothies and quiche, muffins, scones and cinnamon rolls.

Do:

How about manis and pedis for the bride and her besties? There are plenty of places in Cape to get manicures and pedicures (and some offer mimosas!) to start the weekend. Check out King Nails, Cosmo Nails and Deluxe Nails just to name a few!

Remember to stay tuned to the VisitCape Event Guide as you plan your time in Cape to be sure you don’t miss any exciting events!

We hope this blog revealed some unique experiences Cape brings to the table when planning a bachelor(ette) weekend!
