The MSHSAA Volleyball Tournament visitor’s guide

First of all, welcome to Cape Girardeau, if this is your first time here, you are in for a treat. If you’re a returning visitor, don’t worry – there is still plenty to discover.

You may get your fill of food from the Show Me Center. They do offer some pretty tasty concessions… But if dinner comes around, and you’re craving some cuisine that knocks your socks off, check out the range of restaurants available here. Travel the world without ever leaving the city. A worldly array of menus – Cajun, Caribbean, Mexican, Greek, Italian, American and more – await you.

If you’re in the mood for a moment of respite after the tournament’s intensity, take a stroll along the riverfront. You may catch one of the local musicians crooning toons to his guitar as the Mississippi laps against the shore. We highly recommend a visit around sunset, but arriving earlier will leave enough light to see the artwork adorning the floodwall.

Got some time to kill before the next match? There are a ton of activities to explore around Cape. Learn a bit of history during a visit to the Glenn House, take a quick drive to the covered bridge at Bollinger Mill or visit an arcade to take the edge off. If unique shopping is more your style, we have that too with quirky boutiques, luxury fashion and unique décor. You’ll find sources for charming treasure all over Cape Girardeau.

Serve an ace during the MSHSAA Volleyball Tournament by knocking around town in between games. Discover everything Cape Girardeau has to offer.
