Cape is definitely a pet-friendly town! There are many places that welcome pets including restaurants and parks. Local wineries Hunter Valley Winery and River Ridge Winery offer ample outdoor seating areas and often have live music on the weekends and welcome the furry members of your family. Katy O’Ferrells Irish Pub and Restaurant’s sidewalk seating is also a pleasant location to perch with your pooch.

Strolling around downtown Cape is always fun and if it’s a Saturday, be sure to stop by the Cape Riverfront Market for farm-fresh produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, jams, honey, fresh flowers, and arts and crafts – all of which are locally grown, homemade and handmade.

If your pup has a sweet tooth, stop by Andy’s Frozen Custard for a doggie cone or Starbucks for a Puppachino.

Want to burn off some of that puppy energy? Parks are a great place to enjoy some downtime and Cape is home to the fantastic Dogtown Dog Park in Kiwanis Park where you can unleash the hounds!
