If cozying up at home is a priority but you still don’t want to turn your oven on any more than you have to (I get it), here are a few local spots offering carry out options.

  • You take care of the turkey and Faithfully Fed will take care of all the fixin’s! Give them two days notice and they’ll set you up with five different side dishes highlighting their whole food gourmet philosophy, including harvest veggies served over a butternut squash puree with walnuts, goat cheese, cranberries and a maple sage glaze. (I mean, YUM).
  • The Farmer’s Pick Buffet inside Isle Casino Cape Girardeau offers a holiday-to-go carryout special that you can pick up from the valet entrance – you don’t even have to go inside to grab a full holiday feast!

Here’s a round up of events taking place over Thanksgiving weekend, and don’t miss Small Business Saturday in historic downtown Cape Girardeau! Burn off all that turkey on a local trail or tour a popular attraction; Bollinger Mill State Historic Site and the Cape Girardeau Conservation Nature Center will be open, among others
