Race of the Century Welcome Party Recap

Race of the Century riders from all over the world arrived in Cape Girardeau yesterday on their pre-1917 Harleys, Indians, Excelsiors, Sunbeams and Shaws.  They parked on Water Street with the Mississippi River Tales Mural and the river in the background, and riders visited with vintage bike enthusiasts and enjoyed a meal a Port Cape.  Cape Girardeau has hosted the Great Race in 2013, the Motorcycle Cannonball Run in 2014 and now the Race of the Century…riders look forward to the stop in our river city, and we look forward to welcoming them!

Here’s a look at the event in pictures:

For all the gear-heads out there:

We wish the Race of the Century riders a safe trip across the U.S. as they continue on their 3,600 mile journey.  Another great event in the books, all thanks to community partners and generous sponsors – until next time!
