Massages

Self-Care Day is this month! It’s a day set aside to celebrate taking care of ourselves and reflecting on if we are scheduling time to relax and refresh in our busy worlds. But what exactly does “self-care” mean? Officially defined as protecting or preserving one’s own health, it may mean eating a healthy meal, engaging in exercise, drinking more water, enjoying a cup of tea, or spoiling yourself with a massage from time to time.

If massage is on your self-care to-do list, Cape has several options to put you in a peaceful place.

Located in downtown Cape, Eden Health Spa & Salon is a full-service spa offering a wide range of self-care services from massage, body treatments, facials, sugar hair removal, hair, lashes, and nails. Eden’s signature massage was created to address individual needs. To take the relaxation a step further, add on a scalp treatment, hot stone therapy, foot reflexology, or a citrus mint foot session.

Both Belladona Salon & Spa offers massages as part of their extensive salon and spa menu. The traditional “Swedish” and deep tissue massages are built to reduce stress. They also offer a prenatal massage, and a special “Stress Fix” massage proven to reduce stress with lavender and clary sage through deep tissue, reflexology, and acupressure points.

You may not think of Fitness Plus as a typical massage location, but even if you’re not a member of the facility, you can enjoy its massage services. Their signature massages are conventional deep tissue, prenatal, Swedish, and hot stone but specialty offerings include migraine release and sciatica release. The migraine massage addresses tension in the shoulders through trigger points and stretching while also incorporating massage of the scalp, face, and base of the neck. The sciatica release massage helps reduce pain caused by compression in the lower back.

During April, we encourage you to identify a self-care day to do something that brings you rest and relaxation.
