Hop aboard the brand new, FREE trolley making it’s way on a loop around historic downtown Cape Girardeau and explore more of downtown without having to worry about your car.
The Downtown Trolley will be running it’s route every Thursday from 4 – 11 p.m., Friday’s from Noon – 11 p.m. and Saturdays from Noon – 11 p.m. this summer. Here are the businesses within a few blocks of each stop:
Stop 1 at Middle Street
- Stock up on moccasins and cowboy boots at Bob’s Shoe Service.
- Shivelbine’s Music Store, a downtown anchor for decades.
- The Indie House, where you’ll find Mother Earth, Whimsy, Brickwood Boutique and Free Spirit Studio.
- Bring your four-legged friends to Mississippi Mutts, where they’ll enjoy free treat samples.
- Grab a coffee at Catapult Creative House or a milkshake at Stevie’s Steakburgers.
- Annie Laurie’s Antiques is full of eclectic finds.
- Little ones can play all day at Discovery Playhouse, with a brand new second floor older kiddos will love!
Stop 2 at Fountain Street
- The Corner Store has quick lunch options and yummy chocolates.
- Chocolate Works is now serving breakfast as well as all the candy your inner 5 year old could want.
- Barista’s serves up breakfast and lunch all day with specialty coffee and tea.
- Make an appointment to say Yes to the Dress at Magnolia’s Bridal Boutique.
- Katy O’Ferrell’s Publick House has a menu full of Irish classics.

Stop 3 at Broadway and Main
- Grab a bite to eat at Main Street Station, Broussard’s Cajun Cuisine or Sugar Chic Creamery.
- Bloom Studio and Gifts, Sweet Designs Boutique, Ophelia and Sherry Annette offer one-of-a-kind shopping.
- C.P. McGinty’s Jewelers has been a Main Street mainstay for generations.
Stop 4 at Isle Casio Cape Girardeau
- Dining and nightlife awaits at Isle Casino Cape Girardeau!
Stop 5 at Water and Themis
- Murals along Water Street bring Cape Girardeau’s history to life.
- Take a stroll along the banks of the Mighty Mississippi on the Riverfront Trail.
- The Coin-Op Cantina has craft beer and vintage video games, a pretty perfect package, and Social’s Cafe has dreamy bakery items and a great lunch crowd.
- Local boutique Stash has a constantly evolving selection of on trend women’s clothing and accessories.
- Pastimes Antiques is full of exceptional vintage clothing and other items and Jayson’s Jeweler’s has gifts for special occasions.
- Annie-Em’s at Home and Atelier are your go-to spots for special home and gift pieces.
- Just Kidding Consignment Store can help build your kids’ school wardrobes.
- Sit in the chair that Ben Affleck sat in during the filming of Gone Girl at The Bar.

Stop 6 at Main and Independence
- Riverfront Antique Mall, Back Porch Antiques and Premiere Antiques and More are all full of treasures.
- Hutson’s Fine Furniture is a long time anchor store in downtown Cape Girardeau.
- Zickfield’s, another local mainstay, has jewelry and gifts.
- Hotshots and the Blue Diamond Sports Bar have full menus.
- Schedule a paint party at Board and Brush.
Stop 7 at Spanish Street
- Dynamite is Cape’s only local coffee roaster, and you won’t want to miss their seasonal coffees.
- Spanish Street Mercantile and Brick Street Gallery boast large varieties of antiques.
- Grab a malt or a cone at Cape’s Creme and Cone.
- Yearning 4 Yarn has hand spun yarn for all of your knitting or crochet projects.
- The Arts Council of Southeast Missouri has a beautiful new gallery space packed with artwork.
- Cup N’ Cork has coffee, breakfast and lunch as well as a lovely outdoor courtyard to enjoy. Dig in to pasta at Bella Italia.
- The Soulful Home is only open on Saturdays, but this tiny antique store has a beautifully curated selection.
- You won’t be able to check out any books at the Library, but this bar and restaurant is a local favorite.
