Five Future Careers for Your Kids to Explore at Discovery Playhouse

Your little ones can try their hand at all kinds of future careers during their visit to Discovery Playhouse – learning through the love of play!

1. Banking – A real drive through tube, a teller counter, safe deposit boxes and a currency education activity let kids get hands on with good financial habits. The drive through tube is completely functional and is a definite highlight!

2. Firefighting – Climb into the driver’s seat of a real antique firetruck.

3. Dentistry – The Healthy Smiles Dental Clinic has a dentist’s chair where your kids can get a little more comfortable before their next cleaning, play with the dental instruments and more.

4. Farming – Milk a (pretend) cow and learn about where the food on their dinner plates starts at Grandma Ruth’s Farm.

5. Medical – The New Beginnings Nursery has miniature doctor’s coats and medical scrubs, and your little ones can weigh the babies and chart their height on the growth chart.

There’s so much more fun to be had at Discovery Playhouse – Kim’s Secret Water Garden is a fun spot to splash and play, and at the Air-Mazing-Fun exhibit kids can watch objects soar through the clear air tubes along the walls and overhead. There’s a grocery store, an arts zone, construction junction and an extensive area for those under 4 to crawl and explore. Discovery Playhouse provides hours of fun for littles under age 11!

Discovery Playhouse is open Tuesday-Thursday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 – 5 p.m. Learn more about Discovery Playhouse here.
