Explore the Great Outdoors in Cape Girardeau While Camping

Soak in crisp fall mornings, bright blue skies and the colorful leaves from one of Cape Girardeau’s campgrounds!

Rough it at one of Trail of Tear’s basic tent campsites set among the trees on the ridge above Lake Boutin.  It’s a quiet spot with easy proximity to the best hiking trails in Southeast Missouri.  Rugged Peewah Trail has a spot for backpackers to spend the night in one of the most remote areas of the park.

Roughing it not your style?  Bring your RV to the Mississippi River campground at Trail of Tears; the views of the river are unbeatable.  Be warned, the railroad that runs directly alongside this campground is active!

Cape Camping and RV Park is an ideal spot for camping closer to town.  A miniature golf course, game room and handy access to the Cape LaCroix Recreation Trail are just a handful of the extras available.  Betty and Joyce welcome guests happily and are full on info on how to best enjoy Cape Girardeau.

The Landing Point is tucked away just north of Cape Girardeau, so you get the best of both worlds with all the quiet you’re looking for and close proximity to town at this RV park.

Whether from a fully outfitted RV with all the comforts of home or a sleeping bag under an oak tree, Cape Girardeau has just the campsite for you!
