Cape’s Holiday Fun Guide

If you’re making the trip to Cape over the Christmas season or hosting out-of-town family, plan a fun activity to get out of the house and create new memories! There’s so much to do, but here are a few ideas:

Hunter Valley Winery – Out of eggnog? Located by Trail of Tears Park 10 minutes north of Cape, Hunter Valley has indoor and outdoor seating including a deck overlooking a two-acre lake. With a menu of appetizers, cheese trays, paninis and pizza, and of course wine, this is a great place to sit and relax while catching up with friends or family. Check their Facebook page for weekend live music schedules.

Top of the Marq – Known as “the crown jewel of the Marquette Tower,” Top of the Marq boasts a bird’s-eye view of downtown Cape (and the downtown holiday light displays), along with fabulous seasonal cocktail and dinner menus, and an extensive wine menu for either an intimate dinner or casual night out with friends.

Board & Brush – Do you have a creative group? Downtown Cape’s Board & Brush Creative Studio is the place! You must book online and pick a project ahead of time so plan for this one! Everyone will go home with their own unique wood decor projects (don’t worry, instructors are there to help).

Century CasinoPlace your bets! Place your bets! Located on the Mississippi, Century Casino offers slots and video poker, table games and two restaurants, one of which offers panoramic views of the Mississippi River. Remember to check their Facebook page for live entertainment on the weekends.

Laughing Gas Comedy Club – Need some laughs? Get ready! The Laughing Gas Comedy will cross that off your wish list! With shows every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, there are plenty of opportunities to kick back with family and friends. Be sure to check the schedule and buy tickets ahead of time!

At Dogwood Social House, there’s something for everyone to enjoy, plus it’s family-friendly! Your group can bowl, throw axes, sing karaoke, play shuffleboard, billiards, foosball, and air hockey! There’s also an arcade for the kids with prizes and plenty of TVs showing every game possible. The menu offers everything from appetizers to pizzas and the beer wall is a crowd favorite!
