Cape Girardeau’s 2017 Lenten Fish Fry Guide

Sample a true local specialty on your trip to Cape Girardeau at a fish fry this spring!  Every year during the Lenten season, deep fryers are fired up and homemade desserts are artfully arranged at a variety of fish frys in Southeast Missouri.  Here’s where you can experience this seasonal treat in and around Cape Girardeau this spring on March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and April 7.

Knights of Columbus Cape Girardeau at 318 S. Spanish St., serving from 5-7 p.m.

Fried catfish, french fries, hushpuppies, old-fashioned slaw, baked beans, sliced bread, onion, tartar sauce and homemade desserks including cookies, cupcakes and pie. $9 for adults, children 5-12 $5.  Cash bar and carry outs available.

St. Vincent De Paul, 1912 Ritter Dr., serving from 5-7 p.m. 

Fresh American pond-raised catfish, famous slaw and hushpuppies, beans, fries, dessert and drinks.  Cheese pizza is on hand for little ones.  $10 for adults, $5 for children and kids under 5 eat free.  Carry outs are available.

Knights of Columbus Hall at 28745 Hwy 61 in Scott City, just 5 miles south of Cape Girardeau, serving from 4-7 p.m. 

All you can eat real American pond-raised catfish, fried chicken, baked beans, homemade slaw, hush puppies, potato wedges and drinks.  $11 for adults, $5 for ages 6-11 and free for kids under 6. Carry outs available.
