Baseball is Back!

After a canceled 2020 season due to the pandemic, Cape Girardeau’s baseball team, the Cape Catfish, is back in action this summer. And they are the team to watch! In 2019, the Catfish won the Western Division in the 12-team Prospect League, a collegiate summer wood bat league and they’re off to a great start in the 2021 season!

With three games this week and three games next week, don’t miss your chance to have a family-friendly night at Capaha Field, featuring “Catfish Alley” offering delicious ballgame food and drinks from local food trucks. The ballpark also has a Kids Zone for kids who might need a seventh-inning stretch before the game, or during any inning. And, keep your eyes peeled for Captain Catfish, the mascot and number one fan of the Cape Catfish, who is always in attendance and ready for photos!

Stay connected to the Catfish Facebook Page for updates and special things happening at each game. Cape is lucky to have this hometown team. Come cheer on the Cape Catfish! Batter Up!
