A Night Out in Cape Girardeau for Valentine’s Day

Surprise your special someone with a sweet night out in Cape Girardeau!  Here are some ideas for a night on the town for Valentine’s Day.

Do you need a fun Valentine’s activity for the whole family?  Stop by Nature Center at Night:  Wild Valentine’s at the Nature Center on Thursday February 13th.  Family friendly naturalist-led presentations at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. will feature the goofy things wild animals do to attract a mate.  You’ll also get a chance to create a wild valentine for someone you love at this free event!

The 35th Annual Schnucks and River Radio Group Valentine’s Party celebrates couples who have been married for 50 years of more…so if you were struck by Cupid’s arrow on or before February 14th, 1963, you’re invited to this free party in your honor.  The Valentine’s Party takes place at the Arena Building on Valentine’s Day from 10 a.m.-noon and includes pastries, coffee and live music.

Go the old-fashioned romantic route and sweep your significant other off their feet with dinner and dancing at Valentine’s at the Plaza!  Enjoy a 3-course meal, a cash bar and dancing on Valentine’s Day from 7 p.m. until midnight.

Wrap up a pair of Taste of Chocolate tickets and your Valentine will have a week to look forward to sampling chocolates and wine at area wineries!  The two-day Taste of Chocolate event takes place Saturday February 22nd and Sunday February 23rd.  At each of the five wineries on the Mississippi River Hills Wine Trail you can enjoy fine wine paired with a decadent chocolate piece.

If you have a more musical bend, Valentine’s Favorites at the River Campus features Patrick Rafferty, guitar and friends.

Isle Casino Cape Girardeau also features free live entertainment at The Lone Wolf throughout the weekend!  Shows are 21 and up.

Wishing you all the joy and sweetness in the world this Valentine’s Day!
