A Look Ahead at Tunes at TwilightÍs 2014 Season

Award-winning and FREE?  Must be….Tunes at Twilight!  Tunes is kicking off the 2014 season and they have quite a lineup planned.  This concert concert series is held at the Common Pleas Courthouse Gazebo on Friday evenings for 6 weeks in the spring and 6 weeks in the fall.  Tunes at Twilight is coordinated by Old Town Cape and Bruce and Casey Zimmerman; Jerry Lomax makes sure the musicians sound great from the gazebo stage.

What can you expect for Tunes at Twilight in 2014?  Here’s the complete 2014 lineup!

May 23rd:  Coles Whalen has opened for Pat Benatar, Joan Jett and Kellie Pickler, and her bluesy folk music has been called “soulful, powerful and straight from the heart.”

May 30th:  Still on the Hill is an Ozark folkgrass duo that uses traditional instruments such as mandolins, banjos, fiddles and scrub boards to create a kaleidoscope of musical color and texture.

June 6th:  Wil Maring has an airy vocal style and heartfelt lyrics that have raised the eyebrows of the acoustic music world.

June 13th:  Craig Carothers hails from Portland, OR and now lives in Nashville, TN where he writes and produces music.

June 20th:  Leslie Dysinger performs in little towns all over the South.  Her vocal style is reminiscent of Janis Joplin with touches of Sheryl Crow.

August 29th:  Keith Sykes has authored songs for Buffett and the Judds and has released several solo albums.

September 12th:  Michael Reno Harrell is an award winning songwriter and a veteran storyteller from the Southern Appalachian Mountains.

September 19th:  Allie Farris is a singer, songwriter and pianist who writes and performs music reflecting her classic rock influences.
