Discovery Playhouse: A Children’s Museum

The Discovery Playhouse, 502 Broadway, located at the corner of Broadway and Middle Streets, inspires the child in everyone!

The Children's Museum provides fun and educational experiences for children (11 and younger) and their caregivers.  The 7,500 square foot museum offers a world of opportunities to learn through play in their hands-on exhibits.  With room to grow, Discovery Playhouse is adding new exhibits every few months!

Current exhibits include a Grocery Store, Bank, Fire Truck, Kim's Secret Water Garden and a young children's area, Pollywog Pond. 

Discovery Playhouse also offers educational programming incorporating science, music, math and art. Birthday parties in the fun and spacious party room and special events can be arranged by contacting the Museum.

When is the Discovery Playhouse open?

Mondays: CLOSED

Tuesdays through Thursdays: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Sunday: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What is the cost of admission?

Regular Admission: $5.00 per person (ages 2-64); $4.00 (1 year olds and Seniors 65+)
Under 1 and members: FREE

Groups: Special group rates are available to pre-registered groups of 10 or more.
